How many of these shops are equal opportunity employers?
I have no idea. I wonder if the farms in CA are equal opportunity employers. Seems to me they hire only Mexicans.
The Vietnamese Chinese owners are never around. They are usually some Chinese fellow in southeast Asia who owns the business.
SOME women, though, DO end up owning the shop. They work long years, save up and buy the business. I don't really know what kind of bosses they turn out to be...undoubtedly BETTER.
They hire only their own fellow Vietnamese Chinese. THAT I've seen over the years.
They are usually family run, like a lot of mom & pop stores are. Even some restaurants. Black owned businesses do not hire other races either. Go to Little Italy in NY, most are family owned unless they are a chain brand.
They can get away with it because of so few employees and no one challenges it.
I went through the torture to have ingrown toenails removed, supposedly only 5% ever grow back. WRONG, doctor ruined my perfect toenails. It’s taken 2 yrs to grow them back out and many trips for Pedicures which takes care of the problem better than the doctor did.
As long as they are in the USA legally I have no problem with it.
