You missed my point. The metaphor I used about an domestic Vietnam is in the context that this ‘’War on Drugs’’ has been going for 100 Years!, just as the Vietnam seemed interminable. It hasn't stopped the flow of drugs into the country, it doesn't nothing except criminals rich and it is the one crime more than any other that brings police in direct and often tense and violent contact with minorities. Ever wonder why it's easy for kids to get drugs? Because dealer don't ask for id.And what should I as an adult be free to smoke marijuana or do cocaine? What do you give a rip if I were to if it was legal? If you want to keep drugs illegal then lets go whole hog and bring back alcohol prohibition and eliminate tabacco while were at it.

Even legalizing all crime doesn’t fix anything, we have problems with government and policing that need to be fixed, and legalizing drugs is not going to fix it.
