While the primary politics of 2016 may not afford movement conservatives a great many opportunities to take on establishment Republicans in primaries, there si one notable exception.
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will be 80 years old, if or when he stands for re-election. On top of that, he's the establishment Republican many conservatives love to hate most and there are reasons to think he's vulnerable. Issues-wise, he's weak on immigration, the Bush tax cuts and cap and trade. There also appear to be viable challengers, should McCain opt to not retire, as many either wish, or believe he should.
Reps. Matt Salmon and David Schweikert are two high-profile potential recruits ...

I don’t care if he leaves kicking and screaming and stomping his feet; so long as he is gone forever.

I would much prefer to see this slug lose a primary and slither away in defeat, than to just announce retirement.
Either way he'll leave to the sound of RINO best wishes and condescending praise from Democrats. But with a primary loss, there will be no washing away the stink of his awfulness.

It would be far less expensive if he resigns. We’re gonna need the money in 2016.

U folks don’t get it. Mony and efforts could be better spent on the magic number 60. WE already tried it in 2010. Get over it you Todd Akin fans!

I believe that Matt Salmon lost the governors race to Butch Napolitano because he is a Mormon.

I think Johnny would make a great Secretary of Defense. Couldn't be worse than Hagel and we would get a Senator to represent our interests in Washington DC instead of representing Washington DC's interests here.
Besides, he and 0bama deserve one another.

I think his mom is 100+ and in decent health.
Like most Senators, his desire is probably to go direct from the Capitol building to the mortuary.
I predict 2.5 more terms at least.

Yes, all of the anti-Mormon stuff came out from the (D)’s, but somehow Dingy Harry got a pass.
