The essay is based upon "Stonewalled" by Sharyl Atkisson, and "In the Garden of Beasts" by Eric Larson.
Time is late, and our republic is in far greater peril than people understand.
The civil and moral deterioration of our society, its respect (reverence) for the rule of law, no longer surprises me...
That doesn’t mean I stand by idly and allow things like this to go un-addressed, and not exercise my right to effect change...
Now if I could only duplicate myself a few more times, we might not be having discussions like this...hehe
Seems to that for those people who can't be blackmailed, threatening their family "from a position of credibility", kinda like the Mexican mafia offering the blackmailee the choice of "the gold or the lead", would be effective.
It seems that the way to deal with such a thing would be for the target of the intimidation to just, uh, take care of the criminal apparatchik on the spot.
But that's easy for me to say, of course, not facing the criminal myself, at least not right now. Seems like Solzhenitsyn had something to say about that situation...
Wow...
Bottom line is we just need to keep staying the course, never relent, and try to do our best to make others aware, and as civic minded to do their duties as we all discuss in these forums...
Apathy is one of our main enemies, and a lot of folks, and the media are ironically feeding that Apathy beast...Working against our enthusiasms...
Can’t give up now...

Good piece of writing, Matt.
Thanks for the ping Travis, excellent essay and spot on. This is one to share with many who doubt the evil that has invaded our house.
Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
