We won’t be able to affect the mad rush coming to every border crossing. We won’t be able to properly vet 5% of the newcomers for disease, prior criminal or deportation record. Sorry if this sounds pessimistic, but this is designed to produce a fait accompli that cannot be reversed. Just like 0care.
If congress were able to get an emergency injunction from the SCOTUS, anything Obama does in violation of the ruling would give us tons of ammo to use in impeachment threat/proceedings. Obama will be seen as that much more of the criminal villain he is, for ignoring the Supreme Court.
Although congress definitely appears more inclined to use denial of funding remedies instead....
