For those of us who lived thru the cold war and remember Pravda reporting that the latest Soviet five year plan had hit their grain targets, these reports are becoming ominously familiar.

It would seem to me enrollment numbers would trend downwards after open open enrollment closed in the spring. You would have people dropping off the exchanges if they found work with group health coverage. There would also be people that decide to quite paying for various financial reasons. I've read 40 percent of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, so that probably applies to people that get insurance through exchanges.

Who is going to signup this time around? The people with the highest incentive to signup have already done so. There is another round of insurance cancellations in the private market and from small businesses terminating coverage. People with incomes under 400% of FPL would certainly take a look at the exchanges for a subsidy, especially if they have an unaffordable chronic condition.

Thought for the day: since all this ‘untruth-telling’ is not reported in the MSM and ‘Lefties Weekly’, the Lefties don’t suspect that such a thing is possible. The GOP will have an easy time when they form a Regime. Kinda gives them a free hand. Right? Grin.

Just a few months ago or so on “The Hill” website I was in a debate with a flaming liberal over this very thing. He kept on calling obamacare a raging success and pointed to the enrollment numbers as proof. I warned him that the administration has a record of cooking the books (census, unemployment, illegal alien deportation, etc) and the enrollment numbers of obamacare was no different.

We kept on going back and forth, him citing the enrollment numbers as proof of the success and popularity of obamacare and me warning him that he is being lied to by the administration because the enrollment numbers are fake.

I also added that sooner or later that the truth will come out and as a result he will come to realize that he has been made a fool of due to him believing obamas enrollment number lies and repeating them as if they were gospel.

He just wouldnt listen to me so I just walked away from our debate, seeing how hopeless it was trying to talk some sense into him.
