Will this discretionary amnesty encourage an unstoppable chain migration?

As President Obama is getting ready to make his announcement on immigration on Thursday, November 20, 2014, the Congressional Research Service is advising Congress through legislative attorneys, Kate M. Manuel and Michael John Garcia “on the scope of the Executive’s discretionary authority over immigration matters, including with respect to the enforcement of immigration-related sanctions and the granting of immigration benefits or privileges.” (”Executive Discretion as to Immigration: Legal Overview,” November 10, 2014, R43782)

The precedent has already been set in 2012 following the “executive initiative” known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) when children brought unlawfully to the United States by their parents were granted “deferred action” and work permits. These young people perhaps voted in the 2012 election.

They say 5 million aliens will be eligible. But I have a rule of thumb for all government programs to multiply any number that the government is touting or trying to minimize by 3.5.

So for 5 million the true number should be about 17.5 million.

This formula works great for almost any government program. If your city wants to install a light rail system and they say it will cost 999 million, the true number will be around 3.5 billion.

If the government is exaggerating a number to justify a new program, just divide by 3.5 to get a more correct estimate. (Obamacare: They said 50 Million were uninsured, but divide by 3.5 and you get a more realistic number.

There were reports about how the flood of young invaders Obama distributed around the nation quickly overburdened schools. This will happen to state budgets in general when their families arrive for EBT, SNAP, subsidized housing, "free" healthcare, Obamaphones...

About 5 million then you add in all of the ones that claim it with Democrat complicity. Then you add in chain migration and the continued failure to enforce the law your guess will be about as good as mine.

It's not even these millions I'm concerned about, bad as they are. It's the next 10-20-30 million who will see the lesson of "if you can get here and hang around long enough, you too can have amnesty". It's the perverse incentives that this amnesty reinforces; that's the big issue. We should have learned that from the previous two go 'rounds.

Ultimately all of them plus however many come across the border lured by the Amnesty, a hundred million or so? His “limited amnesty” will be limited only in the announcement. In practice it will go no faster than the time it takes to print up the documents. Then comes the Citizenship decree.

To answer the question in the headline: All of them and as many of the rest of the world he can import or entice to invade. The words will mean nothing. His goal is to swamp the US with a human wave. I have read elsewhere that he is also about to announce a new program where minors from Central America won't even have to trek across Mexico anymore. The US will pick them up from Nicaragua, El Salvador or Guatemala and fly them directly to the US as long as they have some “family” in the US. This will end up being anyone Obama wants to bring in. This is a full on war against the US and Congress and most Americans simply don't understand.
