If she was fired for cause she’s not eligible for unemployment insurance. I worked at a state unemployment office for 15 years.

Don’t some states have a waiting period for something like being fired? Like you couldn’t get UE right away but like six months later?

Unfortunately she been teaching for twenty years so I bet she gets a full pension.

The teacher’s unions take care of their own. I have an acquaintance who is anorexic. She had to retire due to health issues 12 years into her teaching career because she kept fainting in class and breaking bones.

She somehow ended up with a full-boat 20-year pension.
