Is this the same CNN Int’l who agreed with Sadamm Hussein to not report anything negative about Iraq in order to maintain a local office?

Well, I can tell you the reason why CNN is leaving. A recently passed Russian legislation bans foreign entities from owning more than 20% percent share of a media company. The bill is in effect from January, 1st, 2015. Some foreign media companies have set up Russian branches, CNN has decided to stop broadcasting.
A Russian newspaper “Vedomosti” says that CNN hasn’t given a reason officially while an unnamed CNN representative has said that they are withdrawing because of a law banning commercials in cable TV programs.
