Vote for a more conservative agenda because schadenfreude is a very expensive dish

By Kevin “Coach” Collins

Whether we want to accept it or not, as conservatives we must be the grownups in America. Liberals have always been the children who see a $10.00 bill in mom’s pocketbook and won’t accept her claims that “We can’t afford to go to the amusement park, your father is out of work.”

Like children, liberals don’t understand economics; they just know they want to have fun and don’t care where the money comes from. They don’t care who has to do without so they can get what they want when they want it.

As adults, conservatives know that things cost money that can only be spent once. While many of our faux conservative Republican politicians seem not to have a complete grasp of this reality, with few exceptions the worst fake conservative is more useful to conservative causes than the best genuine liberal. As the nation’s grownups we must do what adults do.

No one thinks walking off the field because we are losing in the 8th inning is a smart idea. It might make us feel good momentarily because it relieves our frustration with our pitcher’s or manager’s performance but it really only rewards those we want to defeat.

Today we have another chance to stand in with our bat in hand and take our cut. As adults conservatives we cannot just shrug in frustration and walk off the field. If we act like liberal children there will be no victories today. If we go out and vote for the best candidate to move our agenda, we can send the most conservative Congress in years to Washington.

Of course it’s a drag having to be...

Speaking as a pitcher, it was never my fault, it was run generation and field errors. I hated losing 2-1 but those games where is was 11-0 it was not my fault we didn’t score! ;|

Here is yet another argument saying exactly the same thing. Has anyone even seen, or heard, an argument in which good things were said about the Republicans? Where is the, “They are solid on (insert issue), they can be depended on to support (insert issue), I don’t agree with them on (insert issue), but I can expect them to do the right thing.” Just the same ol’ vote socialist so you don’t get the communist. These guys need to be thrown out, if for no other reason, what they have done to the party.

We don’t need to campaign for your vote, or pay attention to your values when we get in office, because we wear the R and we’re not quite as bad as those evil liberals, oh and we’re pushing amnesty as soon as we get in office.

So suck it up buttercup, get out there and vote so we can say we have a voter mandate for our liberal lite.

Sad to say, sometimes I envy liberals, least they get to actually vote FOR a candidate rather than the lesser of two evils.

There is but one answer... We have to go back to the start, push and shove conservatives into any office. Make them run, support the local races, and make an entire new crop of conservatives to later run for county offices. And then push them for state races.

Least have one person on the ballot we vote FOR as we hold our noses for the rest of the lesser of two evils.

The definition of insanity: Voting for Republicans once again hoping that they will pass conservative legislation.

I think the best, and therefore most mature and adult strategy, is for every conservative in solidly Democrat states to vote Green Party.

If the Green Party can get above a certain threshold then they will be more attractive to leftists in the Democrat Party and will split the Democrat Party for years to come.

THANK YOU! Well said.

Puppy and/or Coach, I love ya, guy, but ... when you start out talking about "children" (them, of course) and "grown-ups" (you, of course), it's a bad sign right out of the gate. It's an ivory tower first grade teacher lecturing to the kiddies beneath her. It indicates CONTEMPT -- because in truth we are ALL grown ups here.

People, whether they are on the right or on the left, who condescend to talk down to their equals as if they were children, are behaving in a way that is arrogant and pretentious. Both are qualities that are weaknesses.
