Appreciate the answers. Some would say it is slow, but a good lever gun in .357 is an excellent home defense tool. As this islamidiot proved, it is however not the optimal assault weapon.
Did its job on Cpl. Cirillo, though, sadly.
And long firearms for hunting are unrestricted and easy to come by, at least compared to handguns or sport rifles like the AR-15, so it probably wasn't difficult to obtain one.
It just goes to show that when you restrict access to one class of weapons, someone really intent on mayhem will use what he can get his hands on. Unfortunately, I feel the liberal screechers will use this as an opportunity to call for greater restrictions on hunting weapons, and a lot of urban Canadians will support it.
