"Obama supporters and Democrats in Maryland and nationally took to Twitter to attack the reports who wrote about people leaving. These included claims of the reporters being Obama-haters, racists, liars, and other attacks."
I guess these leftists forgot about this Hillary quote:
I'm sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we're Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration.

Even Reuters reported it...

This can be compared with a Washington Post headline during the W presidency, “George Bush’s approval ratings avoid free fall, for now.”

I suspect that these people were bused in, the event ran long, and they left because the bus was ready to go.
They didn't care who was speaking... the crowd left because they earned their DNC paychecks and were ready to go.

When Obama and his family went to the University of Maryland basketball game last year, there were pictures of Obama showing his kids to put their fingers in their ears to avoid hearing the raucous booing. But not in WaPo. There, it was reported that the crowd cheered him heartily.

No. These people were so enamored of his speech, they were running out to bring back their friends to hear it.
