Not much of it to see, but I need you FReeper Mpotorcycle Hooligans' help in identifying the year/model of this old Indian (Chief?):
Suicide shifter, distinctive chain guard, are those shovel heads??
He’p meh.
??
Whoa, skills!
It looks a lot like this 32 Big Chief

Eh...nice diversion for me.
I don’t have hands-on experience with bikes. It just ‘looked right’ (mostly...save for the spine).
Big Chief was my other guess, but the ‘36 didn’t look right and I couldn’t find any other earlier photos.
I think you’re right.
Contact Mike who does the “American Pickers” series on the History channel. He’s a freak on old motorcycles and can even pick up old carbs or headlights and identify the make, model and possible year of the motorcycles they were on.
You can probably find a way to contact him by just doing a Google on the program name. .........If that’s your cycle, he might even give you an offer to sell it to him.
Contact the 101 Assoc on the web ..I’m a member...that’s an old chief imo
Or a 31 101 from the distinctive headlight....trouble is rebuilds are typically a mash of years as parts are hard to find
Righteous
I had a ‘27 Scout at one point ...the 101s are longer than a regular Scout.
(and cost more)
I don’t know, but I’ll give you $62.50 for it. Offer’s good until tomorrow at midnight. FReemail me.
