Houston, You Have A Liberal Fascist!
Self | 10/16/14 | Me

Posted on 10/16/2014 6:23:31 PM PDT by xuberalles

Do Democrats know the difference between fascism and liberalism? Apparently the Mayor of Houston, Ms. Annise Parker, is incapable of separating her own sexuality – her fragile sensibilities and biased opinions – from the rights of others who disagree with homosexuality and/or gay marriage. What’s even more offensive, or better yet bewildering, is that she actually demanded local pastors turn over their sermons and personal correspondence for examination. Excuse me?!!! For examination by the gay Gestapo in this Constitutional Republic known as the United States of America?!!! Is Ms. Parker a Pontiff, a Governor of Rome, Nero? Yes, Houston’s Mayor may have anointed herself as the supreme leader of the newfound gay SS but she has absolutely no authority to gag the mouth of Churches who are free to share their views; no matter how offensive or reprehensible she finds them. Remember, the First Amendment wasn’t designed to protect our government from our religious values; it was designed to protect our religious values from tyrannical and intrusive government. And yet how ironic is it that our civil rights warrior made no such requests from local Mosques? After all, if you’re going to be eerily and complicity silent in regards to Islam – which routinely denies women and gays basic human rights, even torturing or stoning them to death – on what grounds are you singling out Christianity for merely protecting their sacred beliefs on marriage? Oh, that’s right, progressivism is about undermining our Judeo-Christian values, the cornerstones of Western Civilization, in order to erect a unilateral government that cannot be rivaled by any individual, creed, or God.

Whether or not a religious sermon crosses over into the realm of politics is of no consequence for technically every issue or opinion is political in nature. Freedom of thought is not a crime, religious or political, unless you attempt to silence those voices who wish to digress. Just because a Christian, Jew or Mormon oppose gay marriage doesn’t make them a harbinger of hate or a tangible threat of violence. They simple choose their salvation, the religious and natural parameters of marriage and procreation, over that of political correctness. If anything, this is but another example of liberal fascists ignoring the Constitution and historical precedent – the founding premise of America – to abuse the power of Government and demand the populace to submit to their will at all costs. You, Ms. Parker, in case you forgot, are a public servant bound by law; nothing more. You answer to the people and their rights supersede that of your desperate ploy to force your sexual insecurities and political agenda upon them. Unless you’re oblivious to the fact marriage is a religious institution, has been for millennia on end, your actions are completely without merit and are therefore inherently egregious. Is this not exactly why states have civil unions; a legal recognition of gay couples in both society and the workplace? You can try to fit a square peg in a round hole all you want, attempt to convince humanity the Earth is flat, but just don’t cry foul when they refuse to drown in the shallow end of secular liberalism. Sooner or later someone is going to stand up and refuse to be another victim of your transgendered politics.

I love that Michael Berry refers to her as Annise “Porker” on his radio show.

Once their Messiah, the Master Marxist, got into power along with Eric Holder in the Just-Us department these closet communists came out and are running wild. Elections HAVE consequences.

I think the Mayor of Houston is starting to realize what she wanted to do is a DIRECT violation of First Amendment rights of Free Speech and Freedom of Religion. As such, don't be surprised within a week she drops the whole case.

Homosexuality is a mental disorder. The Mayor is acting out the definition of what she has decided to become. She can not abide the sexual privacy of others and burns to harass and harm the innocent. I doubt she’ll be re-elected as Texans are rather attached to freedom. She hid her insanity and sexual rage during the election.

We have very quickly gone from being expected to “tolerate” homosexuality to being expected to shut up and sit down or else.

Exactly. If you don’t embrace the liberal agenda, you’re attacked in every conceivable way!

“....what she wanted to do is a DIRECT violation of First Amendment rights...”

.
Whoever will run against her in a mayoral race should emphasize this fact again and again.

Right now Annise Porker is extending her upraised middle finger to the Texas attorney general.

She thinks her status as a “married” bull dyke gives her immunity from criticism by those evil “heterosexists”.

That porky pos Parker is a complete embarrassment to what was once a great city. I lived there for years and felt when Whitmire was elected mayor (another lib female)that the handwriting was on the wall. I just hate to see this.

You call the US a constitutional republic.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news:
that ship sailed a long time ago.

She is term limited and this is her last term as Mayor. Next stop for her is probably Washington, D.C. Because it is her last term and her liberal stance, don’t know why people are surprised that she is throwing everything including the kitchen sink at them. Standing firm in her support is Sheila Jackson Lee, who represents many of those in the Houston area, and who, I am sure, voted for both of them. Smart citizens have all fled to the suburbs and surrounding cities.

Houston is well on its way to becoming another crumbling sanctuary city being led down the path to ruin by liberal politicians.

Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and El Paso could have a contest to see which is the most liberal. Everyone might assume Austin would win, but maybe not.

What is the evidence that Texans are attached to freedom? The large cities are liberal to the core.

Liberal in Texas is not the same as Liberal in New York or Boston. I have lived in all parts of the country. Liberal in Texas is often open border, Bill of Rights hounds.

We do have our kooks, though, as the bulldyke of Houston has proven. It’s also mostly Christian-American in culture - loud and proud. We have our share of nasty Islamists and Satanists, too. You hear “mind your own business” quite often in political discussions.
