It’s not very surprising that you would find two sermons on the same text on the same day. Lutherans, Roman Catholics, Anglicans/Episcopalians—most churches around the world are using the same Scripture readings on the same day throughout the church year. And most of the time, sermons are based on the Holy Gospel for the day. So really, it’s not surprising at all.
