Black Congresswoman Lectures Constituents
The American Thinker ^ | October 8, 2014 | Patricia L. Dickson

Posted on 10/08/2014 12:48:24 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

You cannot make this stuff up! Democratic Rep. Marcia Fudge (Ohio), at a town meeting hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus, lectured the black audience for what she called complaining. She spoke in a “you should be ashamed of yourself” tone that would make one feel guilty for complaining. How can they be so ungrateful for all the good things that the Democrats are doing for the black community?

I hope you will spend this much time with your local elected officials. I guarantee you most people in this room have not done that. With your school board, with your city council, and so then you won’t be calling me talking about somebody didn’t come and pick up your trash. You need to call your city council person for that.

And I say it that way because, I need you to understand we all have a role to play and the Congressional Black Caucus cannot do it all by ourselves. Everybody has to do their part…

The black caucus fights for you every day. Even when you won’t fight for yourself. We fight for you. Whether it’s immigration or education, whether it’s food stamps or housing, we fight for you every day. So my message to you is to contain your complaining.

Meanwhile, two well off, liberal, middle-aged white women (democrat party agitators) search for right Michael Brown protest venue:

Baseball Crowd Shouts 'USA! USA!' at Ferguson Protestors "............A few weeks ago, the stadium was the scene of a foiled demonstration. Organizers Sarah Griesbach and Elizabeth Vega, two middle-aged white women who wore Cardinals jerseys, unfurled a protest banner and were instantly met with shouts from sports fans. The same women were also behind the October 4 St. Louis Symphony demonstration. After the failed ballgame protest, the duo from an upscale neighborhood decided that a symphony hall would be a better location.

From Colorlines:

“When we lowered our Michael Brown banner...we went from people being smiled at to instantly being perceived as representing something that was hated.” A wall of sports fans started screaming, ‘Pants Up, Don’t Loot’ and ‘Lock Them Up!’ After being handcuffed and escorted out of the stadium — more so “for our own safety,” both say — Vega recalls Griesbach looking at her and deadpanning, “I think we need a new venue...I really needed to laugh, then.”

While reliving their game nightmare at a local Thai restaurant, Griesbach hit on the symphony crowd — mainly because they weren’t the typical Cardinals crowd. “I knew they would be more receptive. I knew this was a public that was interested in the world, that listened to NPR, read newspapers and [was therefore likely to hold] nuanced views.”

Griesbach and Vega were right. The STL symphony demonstration ended with no one being led out in handcuffs. Some in the audience and orchestra even applauded; others sat stone-faced. In the YouTube video at the 36-second mark, one lone male voice can be heard saying, "He’s a thug."...........

One thing that should be understood is that blacks / afro/americans making statements like this is a two-edged sword. Just as obola lectures, just as Michele obama wants to crystallize her food program so she will go down in history as Mama Obama,(here I’ve fed you thru my crappy program) this caucus member is addressing her audience as if they were children and she needs to chastise them by telling them to “contain your complaint”. And I guess
for those who support her many members are not willing
to think for themselves and take direction from idiots
like those of the aforementioned.

The two edged sword is this- blacks/African Americans use double speak. One for themselves and one for others who are not like them and this is what she is using to address people who support her in the black caucus.

Frankly, I would call into question the respected caucus member’s reasoning about telling her audience not to call her office and don’t make any complaints otherwise.

Is she running her own program(s)? I don’t think so.

I believe her pay comes out of the taxpayer’s pocket and for her telling people to STIFLE themselves ? Everyone must be held accountable in whatever they do.

Planet Mars she is, Planet Mars

The libs at the symphony somehow remind me of a piece written by Tom Wolfe where the Black Panthers get invited to this New York social event.

“likely to hold nuanced views”. In other words, they were looking for gullible fools who will believe ANYTHING that the leftist establishment throws their way.

Check this out:

Feb 2, 2003: Upscale school revives a satire about race " DEDHAM, MASS. - Over the years, schools have celebrated Black History Month in myriad ways, but it's doubtful any staged a play that draws on the controversial genre of minstrel. Until now.

Earlier this month, seventh- and eighth-graders at the exclusive Noble and Greenough School performed Douglas Turner Ward's "Day of Absence." A satire first produced in 1965, the play reverses the tradition of "blackface" minstrel shows. Set in a sleepy Southern town, it puts actors in "whiteface" to show how lost whites would be if a racist fantasy came true and all the blacks suddenly, mysteriously disappeared.

Director Nina Freeman, a black graduate of the school, had hoped her mostly white cast might generate a flurry of discussion about race among playgoers - through their frequent usage of the term "nigra" on stage and depictions of pathetic white people unable to care for themselves. Yet those most changed by this provocative production may have been the provocateurs themselves. "At first, we didn't want to do it, didn't want to say the word 'nigra'.... But we learned this is a way to bring a message. I hope [the audience] figures out this isn't a negative message."

Fears lurked near the surface among her fellow thespians-in-training. Maybe blacks in the audience would take offense at references to "darkies" or "jigaboos." Or whites would resent being portrayed as fumblers who couldn't change a diaper or cook an egg without help. Or maybe everyone would sigh impatiently at yet another lecture on the virtues of diversity.

"I'm sure I'll get comments, like, 'Enough of this white-bashing,' " said Ms. Freeman, a 22-year-old English and theater teacher. "Of course, I worry about it, but I'd rather that theater be provocative than predictable."

The students' production of "Day of Absence" opened with actors in white masks - a modified version of the original use of white face paint. Soon they lifted the masks, but they continued to caricature the white characters, whose panic spread with news that their nannies, garbage collectors, delivery persons, and switchboard operators had vanished.

As reality sank in, whites in top business and political positions promised to restore things "as they've always been." But when one attempt after another failed, actors crying out to the lost ones seemed schizophrenic - first pleading for the nigras' return, then fuming with anger at their audacity in leaving.

Tongue-in-cheek humor came with a sharp edge. A police officer, for instance, nicknamed "two-a-day Pete" for his track record of beating blacks daily, got hauled off to an asylum. "He was unable," a friend lamented, "to stand the shock of having his spotless slate sullied by interruption." ...............

With tuition price tags of $22,700 for day students and $28,800 for five-day-per-week boarders, Noble and Greenough caters to children of professionals in Boston's upscale western suburbs. Their world, where just 6 percent of the 535 students are black, seems far removed from the 1960s "Day of Absence" Southern town, where blacks were half the population before they vanished.

This sheltered, comfortable setting compels Bob Henderson, head of the school, to make the challenges of living with diversity a regular topic at assemblies. His hope for "Day of Absence" was to get people talking about something too many on campus might take for granted: interdependence and reciprocal appreciation across racial lines.

"I guess where there's a certain amount of privilege, it's more important to do it here," he said, compared with a setting where interracial harmony may not be the status quo.........."

Marcia Fudge has a good point. Here in Cuyahoga Country, there's an 8% sales tax, and the county is spending the money on stuff like a new scoreboard for the Browns stadium and a park in front of the casino. Add to that Gov Kasich has balanced the state budget by taking massive amounts of money from communities, while the state keeps doing whatever the state keeps doing with money.

It's the county and state money that needs to be better distributed to communities. Ms Fudge was a mayor of a town outside Cleveland. She knows how bad the problem is.

Pants up don’t loot is pure genius.

Naturally the two ladies go to a Thai restaurant afterwards to commiserate. Because that’s what libs do: go to Thai restaurants. They were probably wearing those narrow rectangular glasses that all libs wear.

I’ve been listening to NPR in the mornings recently and I would swear it’s more overtly leftist than it’s ever been.

“we fight for you every day”

They all need less fighting and more work and study. More producing and contributing. Give and it shall be given unto you. Continually demand that more be given you and you will never have enough. NEVER.

Much as I hate to say it, if blacks disappeared the world would be a much better place. Crime and disease rates would plummet. People would be free to walk about their cities (at least in non-hispanic ghetto areas) again without being assaulted. Cities would become cleaner. Real estate values in most places would improve (sad but true that most blacks make for bad neighbors)

Unfortunately we’d also lose the good blacks when the bad blacks vanished. Is there any way to just make blacks that adhere to “black culture” disappear?
