I’ll be shocked if everyone in that apartment is declared healthy in 21 days.

You know these people should be accountable for having a few brains. They have already been exposed so why not clean the apartment themselves? Like all no goods they want someone else to do it.
According to Freeper Prince of Space, who did a little research, they all live in a 1100 sq ft apartment. Him, the baby momma and 5, count ‘em, 5 kids.
Why wouldn’t they simply order a few hundred bottles of 90% rubbing alcohol and sanitize the apartment themselves? This stuff ain’t uranium. Bugs can be killed.

Possibilities:
1. Bureaucratic foul-up and the right people were never notified.
2. They can’t find anyone brave/stupid enough to go in there and clean it up.
3. They have written off the family.
4. All of the above.

The Reston Monkey House was scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed with disinfectants, then heated up to 140 degrees for hours. After that, the company brought in a new batch of research monkeys from Africa. Shortly thereafter, they, too, were all dead from the Simian Hemorrhagic Fever, a relative of Ebola Virus Disease. The building was sealed and abandoned.
The same thing is going to happen to entire apartment complexes once an Ebola patient is there. Real estate investors are going to get clobbered.

I’m scratching my head at your statement.
They (and we, as in our society) need a hazmat team in spacesuits to come in and decontaminate that place.
Platex gloves, Hefty bags and a gallon of bleach is not going to cut it here.
Are you really that ignorant of how and why ebola spreads?
If they get to the final stages of the disease and wash clothes and dishes, then all those trillions of virus particles are going down the drain into the waste water plant. But don’t worry, be happy.
Ebola only spreads through infected bodily fluids. And it’s distinctly possible that no one around Duncan got exposed to his. (Louise said she didn’t think she had.)
How did he get it?
Did he have sex with his partner he had not seen in a long time during the three days they were together?

It depends on who you ask. I’m not a conspiracy theorist by any stretch; however, I have been mentioning to close friends that I wouldn’t be surprised if there was to be a “controlled” pandemic and the “cure” would be administered by the government.
There are people who are believing EVERYTHING that the media, CDC, and Dallas Public Health department is saying. There are others who believe we are being fed partial truths to allay fears and squelch a widespread panic.
According to other articles Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins testified in a conference call that “The sheets were placed in a sealed plastic bag and have been in the bag, as well as the belongings of Mr. Duncan, those were also in a bag.” That they have been properly handled seems most reasonable but the situation is still pretty much all over the place for these poor folks so who knows....

If those sealed plastic bags had been removed I would conclude that infected items had been properly handled. Since there is no mention of removal I conclude that they were probably handled by the quarantinees themselves rather than by trained persons.
Pros would have taken the bags with them.
