So, what is real situation in Ukraine? On the paper (officially) there is cease-fire, but if you look at the map you'll see they make idiots of all people who believe them. If it is truce I wonder what war will be like?

Putin waiting for winter and already keep cutting gas to EU. With cold gas flow to Ukraine will stop.

There is few things one need to know about energy balance in Ukraine. Around 70% of all energy in Ukraine produced from coal, natural gas and oil. Now see, almost all coal mines located in war zone, so they ruined or flooded or just belong to separatists. Fortunately we have some natural gas in Ukraine, so at least radiators won't be stone cold. It is of course if oligarchy won't waste this gas on their factories which produce some garbage no one need in countries with market economy.

Our heavy industry businesses sinks, more energy goes there than good comes out. To tell the truth when I see those huge factories ruined by war I am sorry if people get killed but I am kind of glad that finally those factories will stop polluting environment. The whole post Soviet heavy industry is huge mislocation of resources. Now we getting rid of it and hopefully it will force people to create something more efficient.

Back to winter which will start pretty soon. On a top of all this problems we having worst government we ever had. Theft and corruption no one hide any more. They make each day count for they know soon they won't have this opportunity to steal millions of dollars. That's what they care about, no one give thought about winter. Meanwhile one by one power plants stop working. Smart ass prime minister tell us they going to buy coal in South Africa which is on the other side of equator. For two weeks they talking about amount that hardly make 2% of our shortage. We obviously in a trouble. Let's not forget that 7 million people live in part of Ukraine where infrastracture is ruined, no roofs, no windows in house. Those people are potential refugees, they won't be able to live in tents, they will need warm rooms. I bet Putin can't wait for winter to start having fun.

LOL. A EU welfare plantation candidate. And these people are blaming businesses withdrawing tooling and employees to Russia ahead of EU regulations which would effectively kill any industries in Ukraine.
Once again, Elena Filatova aka “Kid of Speed” - an author of this piece is a proven fraud.

Why would you make an enemy of the country that supplies the majority of your energy? All the Russians will have to do is switch of the valves to the gas pipes when winter comes.
The EU or NATO will not help out and why should they?

When that country starts pushing you around, and occupying your territory? That’s a good starting point.

Because we all know the Soviet system is superior to the EU system. Why can’t people understand?

Nobody says it here. But not every leftover Soviet enterprise is a waste. Some are clearly reformable.

The same pipelines that carry Natural Gas to Ukraine are used to carry gas to Europe. When Russia shut down the gas flow to the Ukraine back in 2009, the Natural Gas to Europe shut down as well.

Gulag is dismantled since about mid1950s. US has more prisoners than Russia.
Think about AK maker, rocket and military aircraft companies. They are Soviet leftovers and doing just fine.
