Obama and the Corporate Media – Lies and Deception on Syria and ISIL

The mass media, in their coverage of Obama's speech, outlining his new strategy on managing the crisis of the 'Islamic Caliphate', are acting as retail merchants for the White House and State Department's campaign of deception on Syria and Iraq. The most obvious aspect of this co-operative effort is seen in the repetition of the mythology that Obama hasn't yet tried assisting rebel forces in Syria. Such claims are so divorced from reality they are staggering.

Even so, Americans are, in the main, so willfully misinformed, that they are easy targets for the false narratives they are fed in deceitful sound bite portions. The logic of using what ostensibly appears to be 'criticism' of Obama in order to actually screen him from accountability of complicity in war crimes, has some strange twists and turns. It's similar to catching a bank robber red handed, ignoring the bags of cash and only faulting him for bad breath, body odor and lack of table manners.

It's easy to understand the motive behind the cover story on the administration's handling of Iraq. The claim that Obama has intentionally neglected to deal with terrorists is much less damning than revealing the actual truth that Obama has, in fact, partnered with Saudi Arabia, Turkey (NATO ally), Kuwait and Qatar, in promoting the evolution of a terror group that commits atrocities which shock the sensibilities of Americans.

Because, additionally, Obama cannot afford to be seen as providing assistance to a group (Al Nusra Front / Ash Sham / ISIS / ISIL) that gassed civilians in Ghouta and Aleppo, staged crucifixions in Raqqa, mass executions in Mosul and a host of other abominable ethnic cleansing, genocide, abductions and sexual assaults in Syria and Iraq.

And for this reason, it's convenient – and imperative, for the corporate media to falsify recent history of the White House's actual treacherous actions in Syria. To let the American public in on the dirty secrets of the 'War On Terror' that is anything but, would be to invite a revolt. Neither wing of the two party national crime syndicate can afford that.
