I think we’re gonna wind up with carriers.

The research so far suggests that the virus clears after a period of time. There is some residual virus in bodily fluids up to several weeks after infection, but once it is gone, the patient is no longer contagious.

Yes, but seven weeks is a long time.

And given the spread of HIV from patients who know they’re infected and have unprotected sex anyways I’m not comforted by allowing them out of quarantine until ALL of their secretions are negative for the virus.
