Arizonans worked hard in '98 to keep Arizona rest stops from being gun free zones.

Is the Meteor Crater rest stop on public or private land? I gather the Crater itself and its gift shop are now private.

Plus AZ is very firearms-friendly as regards their law so that makes the Meteor Crater sign even more nonsensical. I’ve got an out-of-state trip coming up so I’m doing a little research on handgunlaw.us later today.
