How Many Gaza Homes for a Tunnel?

While the western world is donating billions each year to help build a prosperous society on the Gaza strip, develop an economy, and elevate citizens from poverty, Hamas has been busy over the last four years building very expensive and intricate tunnels, an underground city in which bizarre weddings take place side by side with military operations aimed at ultimately destroying Israel and wiping it off the face of the earth.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) found 30 such tunnels. Their construction was estimated at $3 million each. Hamas could have invested in the people of Gaza. For each tunnel, it could have built 86 homes, 7 mosques, 6 schools, and 19 medical clinics. Instead it invested in terrorism.

Thanks Dr. Paugh for yet another insightful article. Good history lesson and a different perspective. Of course ham-ass isn't interested in anything about their "people" until Israel is no more. Sorry to disappoint them. Uh, no I'm not.

When Israel finds a tunnel I think they should pump it full of natural gas and “light it up.” A building somewhere in Gaza would also go sky high. There is a huge amount of energy in natural gas and it is cheap.

Yea, I could see pouring Propane in there from the Israel-end. You just keep pouring and let it push out the air in the tunnel. When you think you’re done, you light a fuse, run like mad and watch which houses, schools, and hospitals achieve orbit - those were the entry points.

My choice would be propane as it is a liquid and thus easier to deploy. It is also heavier than air and will seek low spots where it remains until detonated.

Since the palies stockpile large quantities of conventional explosives in the tunnels it might be a good idea to place a length of det-cord throughout. That would ensure everything goes up at once.

Don’t confuse the admirers of the noble, humanitarian organization Hamas with facts.

I wonder how many Arab civilians Hamas has murdered, compared with the number accidentally killed by Israel. The ones that Hamas has put in front of their missiles and armaments are victims of Hamas, not Israel.

At one time under Arafat the arabs were killing something like 800 “collaborators” each year, usually shooting them in front of their families. I don’t know what the numbers would be now.

Which means that any arab who didn’t hate Israel was dead meat. Which means if you really are a “moderate” you have no chance of survival unless you keep your mouth shut and your head down.

I wonder how many are killed each year currently. It would probably be too much to ask our journalists to try and dig out those facts.
