That is the challenge for Rob Astorino. He has to fracture Cuomo’s base. By using Common Core he can nullify the teachers union and if he pounds on the fact that Cuomo when at HUD sent money to developers and not tenants to spit the free s**t army. He doesn’t have to get them all to vote for him but if they don’t show up at the polls he can win.

Astorino needs to jackhammer the black vote-—could be done very easily.

Astorino should take a position WRT the justice system falling too heavily on black defendants. Even cranky NAACP head Ben Jealous softens when Republicans take on this issue.

Would of course exclude black defendants sentenced for violent crimes, rapes, murders, drug possession/sales.

The cases are legion of black men incarcerated for years-—sometimes unjustly for crimes they did not commit. Sometimes they are lucky enough to get the Justice Project to review their cases.

Astorino should tell the black community, as governor, he will take this on.
