“None of the weapons that were test-fired came up as stolen, “
Naturally. Ballistics testing does not work. They took the MLK murder rifle and fired controlled shots through it. Experts were unable to determine what rifle they came from- even though it was a controlled test.
And how many of the millions of guns owned by FReepers have had a ballistics baseline recorded?
As for “buybacks” I look for cheap C&R rustbuckets that still go [snap] when the trigger is goosed, or people at estate sales willing to see gramp’s shotgun gone for a Jefferson or two. It’s profitable.
What are the issues with private sales at “buybacks”, and in which states can’t you do that?
I would never enter Maryland with a gun even if I knew I was doing so legally. I would not even think of buying one there.
It is a shame that some nice guns with fine workmanship will be destroyed by these insane people in Maryland.
I wanted to go but have previous plans. ShopRite donates the money and one of the VP’s has made dumb anti gun comments. Even though they are close, we stopped weekly grocery shopping there a year ago.
