Illegal immigrant activist Jose Antonio Vargas, who was detained by Border Patrol in Texas after attempting to board a plane to Los Angeles yesterday, told Fusion TV's Jorge Ramos he actually called the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and asked them why he was not being deported.

Vargas wouldn't say what the agency told him but no action was taken. The immigration reform advocate then said because he is here and pays taxes this is his home and he said, "I am an American and he is just waiting for my country to recognize it." Why isn't he asking why is he not being arrested for using fraudulent documents and lying to IRS on I-9 tax forms over the years and admits he did so ?Vargas,has permission from Obama to break all the laws he wants. He is above them all.Why didn't he ask ICE when he is right there with them ? Coward uses a phone.

Vargas was released yesterday with a notice to appear. Either he lawyers’ up, or he goes in contempt of the court of the country he claims to be a citizen of. Since he is obviously literate, and obviously well acquainted with the immigration laws of the US, having written a book about it, I hope the judge shows very little leniency over his neglect of the teensy tiny little matter of the educated writer refusing to apply for citizenship.

Very bad timing on his part.

He ,like most on the Radical Left , yearn to make themselves victims fighting and being fought by the System.

He picked his fight at a time when American sentiment about illegals is turning sour and the massive human crisis on the border calls out for some very public and tough actions to deter illegals from making the trek from Central America across Mexico to enter the US illegally.

America needs to make public examples to act as a deterrent and this clown is as good a place to start as any.

He may find his drama queen posturing may have backfired on him big time, just like Obama’s games manufacturing the rapidly evolving and deteriorating humanitarian crisis on our Southern Borders is backfiring on him

Is it cruel of me to hope to see headlines one day that indicate Vargas died after being hit by an illegal alien driver who was found to be three times the legal limit for alcohol?

This guy has admitted he doesn’t have a visa and laughs at the fact that Customs never asks for it when he flies.
