BGR has huge multi-national clients who are there basically for the political clout Barbour wields. Part of that clout comes through his total domination of Thad Cochran who basically is a wholly owned subsidiary of BGR.
Barbour has basically bought the entire state and even has his man in the House, Gregg Harper, ready to take over when Cochran retires in a few years should he wind up stealing this election.
Huge issues from fisheries regs to oil leases to you name it all come up in Congress and unless Barbour/BGR has the weight to push through his legislation he will lose his multinational clients.
It's the bubba system gone wild and these guys will kill if necessary buy off anyone, deal with the communists, and basically do anything to keep control of the outcome of Congress for their clients.
You have it exactly correct... There was a time when I respected Barbour......That was a long time ago
