Cities across Illinois may face financial crisis
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
The treasurer of south suburban Harvey told FOX 32 News the city is running out of cash to pay its bills.
“I’d say yes, we’re getting short on cash. Absolutely,” said Treasurer Gloria Morningstar.
It’s among dozens of Illinois communities on the verge of financial collapse, because of mismanagement and economic decline.
Angry aldermen claimed Mayor Eric Kellogg and his aides hid details of the growing crisis.
“We must start addressing these issues. We can’t just keep acting like they don’t exist,” said Alderman Keith Price.
Harvey and its former comptroller were accused of fraud last week by federal regulators. The city has more than $26-million in unpaid bills.

No doubt about it. I think back through my 70 years and remember my first exposure to politics, and father cursing Truman. I grew up despising Democrats, but none of them came anywhere close to deserving the contempt that I have for the illegal alien Kenyan POS POTUS.

So they are saying Jimmy Carter is better than Bush? Bush was bad in a few ways (spending, multiple war quagmires, mexican invasion) Carter was bad in every measure. Bush with the wars was bad, but at least enemies feared him or respected him. Carter? Not so much. Obama hates this country & its Judeo-Christian heritage. I don’t think Carter hated the US.
Well, Obama certainly is the worst, maybe in history. That said, any poll that doesn’t have Jimmy Carter in second place is hogwash.

You've got to be kidding. Of course the far left crowd will applaud such rulings as CO2 now being declared a pollutant (as opposed to it being plant food), holding up Keystone etc but for any thinking person Obummer has been a disaster for the environment..... unless of course you are in favour of less pollutants being emitted because he has harmed the economy so deeply and forced more companies to move overseas.
Make no mistake, these polls are a serious problem for the liberal psyche. Polls serve a much more important purpose for liberals than they do for conservatives.
Liberals require constant affirmation for their beliefs, because events and consequences of these beliefs consistently prove them wrong. A warped worldview needs lies to sustain itself.
This is why the MSM exists, to sate the constant psychological craving liberals have for affirmation of these beliefs. Someone has to provide the lies that prop up their tenuous hold on sanity.
It is also imperative for liberals to maintain the moral high-ground, so they literally go nuts when polling shows they’re not popular. It really shakes up their world.
It’s not a good time to be a liberal.
