Sounds like he should have been relieved of duty and sent home. No one that makes everyone else feel so unsafe should have been left in place.
OK, I’ve never been in the military and I suppose some people act whacked in order to get out .... but why not let them? Or move them to somewhere where they won’t hurt morale so much, like back home on funeral detail or something, until his time is up.

I think they are damn lucky he walked off instead of blowing them all up. Yes I realize some died while looking for him but it could have been a lot worse.
Also, isn’t there some way to weed out people like this before they get sent halfway around the world and people actually have to depend on them for their lives? The army cannot be that hard up for soldiers can it?
Bergdahl is obviously a deserter and it is equally obvious that the Obama administration is threatening the people who know it best. It is equally obvious that he will never be courts martialed for it.

Having seen his parents, none of this is remotely surprising. What is interesting is that after his time with those beloved Afghan villagers, he didn’t want to see his parents anymore. Pretty sure he grew up brainwashed by them and now he knows better.
