I actually enjoy doing it. And it is my preference and yes, not everyone should do it just because I suggest it.

Because YOU said you annually reformat and reload Windows and "that cleans everything up." Just what are the problems you have that need this "cleaning up?"
BTW, you not only reload Windows, but you also have to go through the entire Win update process; plus reload every other program you use - all of which have lost all of your personal settings ... like browers and bookmarks.
WTH wants to deal with that every year?
