My father-n-law is a teacher at a local school. He is beside himself at the untouched food the kids throw away. Unopened Orange juice or milk, whole apples and oranges, etc.
He is disgusted by it, but the school won’t allow the good food to be recollected.

I can’t speak tot he school lunches, but they forced McDonalds to include apple slice in their Happy Meals.
Took my 5 year oldgranddaughter for lunch one day, when she refused to eat the apples, I thought I’d try one.
