Occupy wore out their welcome in so many ways. I would bet even most Liberals have a low opinion of them. Oakland California had a terrible autumn and winter with the Occupiers. There were hundreds of out of towners coming over here making trouble. They closed down a very busy pier in Oakland, for a day, made Mayor Quan look ridiculous. Quan said she ‘understood where they were coming from’. Really? I recall the Men’s Warehouse store downtown had some little sign offering feeble ‘support’ of the right to protest. The store was trashed anyway, why? because the guys in Anonymous wearing black hoods thought it would be fun. Burn it all down man! So easy to destroy, more difficult to build.
It was funded by AdBusters contributors and radical unions like UNITE HERE.
Its demands were entirely stupid and deeply immoral, and the entire purpose of the exercise was to foment chaos to encourage theft.
