If Christie signs this disaster, the gun controllers won’t pause for an instant, but will demand even more controls.
If Christie doesn’t sign it, and enough Republicans cave to override his veto, it will also stimulate the gun controllers.
If Christie vetoes it, they will rant and rave, and also fund raise off it for years.
This bill will be hailed as a “reasonable and common sense” law. And when it is found to have failed to stop nutcases from using guns to kill, the cry will go up for a “reasonable common sense” gun bill that will take it a step or two further toward outright ban and confiscation.
