I don’t have a lot of sympathy for these guys. It’s impossible not to realize that something is off when you’re being given more pills and shots than a racehorse. But they did it because they wanted the big $$ and the fame. It’s basically a deal with the devil. Now they’re older, maybe a little wiser, and paying the price physically. But I’m sure they all knew, deep down, that there would be a day of reckoning.
Of course they did. Many pumped themselves full of steroids looking like wrestlers out of WWF just to get that fat check and fan worship.
They all knew.
