Anyone out there still believe that the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) has anything to do with improving health care, or making it affordable?
The original claim was that ACA was all about getting those poor uninsured people insured. As I have stated many times, had they done this, it would have been admirable, and would have had my support. Except, that was never the goal, and besides, they were far too stupid to accomplish that anyway.
Instead, the ACA has become a massive crony capitalism boondoggle whose only beneficiaries are the usual suspect health care parasitesin this case largely health IT: The Obama administration will spend over $1 billion on the still-incomplete Obamacare website HealthCare.gov by the end of the year, according to Obama nominee Sylvia Burwells testimony to Congress.

Obamacare’s real purpose was to offload health care costs from huge global corporations onto the taxpayer. It is doing that relentlessly and successfully. The debt is ours.
The real reason was given on FoxNews this morning, though the idiot giving it did not realize it.
In reference to gov’t initiatives to start treating fatty or sugary foods like they do tobacco, the male[1] said that since we all pay for the result of the health problems fat and sugar cause, we should get to control them.
That’s the real purpose of ObamaCare - control of the citizens.
It’s a real sinister plan - give free healthcare out of compassion and charity, then claim that you get to control the recipient of said charity because the cost got out of hand.
