Israel: Syrian Government Made 30 Poison Gas Attacks Since August

Syrian forces loyal to President Bashar Assad have used chemical weapons in over 30 attacks since Syria joined the Chemical Weapons Convention last year and agreed to the destruction of its entire chemical arsenal, reports The Times of Israel.

“From the day that he signed the deal, [Assad] has used chemical weapons over thirty times, and in every case citizens were killed,” a senior Israel Defense Forces officer said, adding that the weapons were “tactically deployed” with mortars and short-range rockets.

According to the officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity, Assad’s regime is currently developing “non-classic” unconventional weapons based on weaker gases such as chlorine. The officer asserted that Assad still aimed to produce weapons that could be deployed despite Syria’s membership in the CWC. “Our assessment is that [Assad] will attempt to retain a small stockpile, but he is constrained by the convention,” the officer said.

“That is why he is developing chemicals that, as I said before, are ‘non-classic’ — chlorine, for example, which can be found all over Israel or in any other country.”

Last year France went out on a limb supporting the US attack on Syria they thought was coming before Obama threw them under the bus.

My analysis that Obama fomented war in Ukraine in order to distract Putin from Syria is looking more likely. I predicted that once Putin was deeply involved with Ukraine, we would move against Syria. This story is the tip of the spear.

Remember the famous "red line"? Obama is still using this tired tripwire as an excuse to attack Syria. It was only weeks ago when new stories were saying that Assad had won the civil war in Syria, but now he's using chemical weapons? Why? To re-win a war he's already won?

This is disinformation and propaganda to drum up support for a Libya-style war against Assad. TPTB want a united jihadi Middle East so they can legitimize World War 3 against a Nazi-like enemy.

Don't fall for it!

The head chopping islamist cannibals we have been supporting with our tax dollars in Syria are about wiped out. Assad is now clearly on track to take back the whole of Syria, except perhaps for a strip of land carved out by the Kurds.

For us to go full strength into Syria, we would be directly taking on the established and recognized government, which is supported by Russia and Iran.

We’re doing some completely amazing things that are the very reverse of wisdom these days, but invading Syria would set a new standard of stupid.

Does using their chemical weapons to kill terrorists count as destroying the stockpiles?

Wrong question...Does using their non-existent stockpiles of chemical weapons the Russians did not give them that weren’t from Iraq, count as destroying the imaginary chemical stockpiles that every intelligence agency thought existed but was just a delusion of frat-boy George Bush?

I fear you are right, and ever since this Ukraine drama started, I have been trying to assimilate the idea of another major war in Europe - in our lifetimes.
