Government IT projects have a tendency to fall on their rear ends more often than not.

Although there are good citizens working directly or indirectly for the federal government, I suspect that the name of the game concerning doing business with DC is to stuff pockets from the tsunami of constitutionally indefensible taxes that go to DC.

Condensed form of the article.

It's already well known that roughly 68 percent of all IT projects are doomed for failure, and a large majority 99.999999% of this is due to improper requirements planning and scope analysis up front before any contractors are even hired. It's safe to say that the US government, and namely HHS, botched this aspect of the Healthcare.gov planning phase.

Just search for the word "requirements" in articles like these.

You tell us what and we'll figure out how.. or hire us to do both.

I want to know what executive recruiters the government uses to find people who are adept and qualified to totally waste hundreds of millions of dollars. If I wanted to advise my son to choose this career, what is the career path? To get on a small project and blow $5 million hoping to land a job with a bigger budget to blow through? And what grad school is best for this? Is there a professional society? What is the normal bonus plan? How far ahead of loss plan should a person be in order to get a bonus? Inquiring minds want to know.

The Federal Government has NEVER successfully implemented an IT project.

Ask around about the failed attempt to update the systems at the IRS in the 1990’s.

Why hasn’t there be a refund to taxpayers by these criminals? Why aren’t many of them in prison? $900,000,000 is a bit of change...no?
