the whole world's living in a digital dream
it's not really there
it's all on the screen
makes me forget who I am
I'm an analog man

Seriously love that!!!
Joe Walsh is an interesting character. Wouldn’t be surprised if his politics didn’t have a conservative tilt.

Gotta say, they’re doing pretty well in the hair department for a bunch of old guys.
I Told Myself--The Eagles
Now that is old school. I didn’t hear even a single Telecaster.
I say him in an interview of him on Direct TV on the AUD channel on a show called Guitar Sessions. He was saying he had to learn how to play sober. For years he's had bouts with drinking and drugs that he finally overcame. BTW his brother in law is Ringo Starr. Joe is married to Ringo's wife's sister.
“...LPs, 45s, and 78s...”
Yes!!
Did not know that — but it’s a small world when you get into the upper echelons of the music industry so I’m not really surprised. I’ve had my dabblings in that world.
I went to Kent State with Joe. We tried out for some of the same bands during Freshman Orientation Week. He started his own band, The Measles! When Vox came out with the Super Beatle amps, Joe had Super Measle amps built. Biggest amps you ever saw! He used one of my Dr. Z amps when he was inducted into the Rock Hall here in Cleveland, Always had a great, and whacky sense of humor!
lol — the Measles! totally in character...
I’ve always like Joe becausse he’s a techy gear freak like me, or at least as I like to pretend to be.
Dr. Z amps totally rock.
What you all are posting about the speakers makes sense. He said in the interview the speakers he uses specifically the diameter is what sets his sound apart from others.
Joe is also a ham radio techie. He recently bought a very high end tuner from a customer of mine who makes them in Piqua, Ohio.
Reminded me of shemp from the 3 stooges
Joe was featured on “Guitar Sessions” where he plays some oldies and the new stuff too. In the interview portion, he slams the music industry and their techniques for making music today. Whenever I see Guitar Sessions on the program guide I look to see if it’s the Joe Walsh episode and it must have been taken out of the rotation because it just isn’t being run any more...Gee, I wonder why. Does Joe even care? I seriously doubt it!
LOTS of guitar greats. Starts with Buddy Holly stuff and ends up with David Gilmore! Worth a watch.
