Is the goal of our government a post industrial America

With the exception of the IRS I think we have gotten the unwanted attention of just about every federal, state and local agency that exists. The gauntlet of regulations, fees and penalties have become so daunting that our management team just withdrew our permit application and decided not to pursue the expansion in our county or even state. The deck is so stacked against business today it is necessary to ask oneself if the goal of our government is to create a post industrial society out of America

Yes.

Listen to the economists and policy makers. All they talk about that everyone needs to be educated (or re-educated) so that they can have a hi tech, finance, academic or otherwise high paying desk job.

Apparently we can be the fist civilization in history where no one has to stoop to making things, fixing things, growing things, building things .... doing any manual labor at all.

Exactly. Apparently we can all just move papers around while each of us takes our cut as they go by.

We can manufacture things here as long as we don’t do any manufacturing that affects anything by manufacturing something.
