I don’t understand all the outrage on this thread.
Remember, even with a bullet in the leg, the office was able to go home to his family.

The dog was behind a fence protecting the family children. The officer was outside the fence. The officer wanted to serve an eviction notice. So he planned to shoot the dog in full view of the kids.
