Well this could have all been avoided if you had followed the rules/sarc. Why are you a good person when you don't follow stupid rules; but the Bundy’s are the bad guys for not following stupid rules?

Well said. She strikes me as non too bright to not have made this connection. And though she complains about Bundy being a self-made victim, what is she????

Ann’s not in a place to call someone else a “nutter”.

She’s “bailed out” of the business world, going off the grid living with her friends.

Like too many, she’s got some things right, yet she can’t see other things because she falls for the nutcase material that is mixed in with truth as part of disinformation campaigns designed to discredit critiques of the financial elites.

The Bundy’s guilt or innocence is irrelevant.

It is the Federal Government’s response that is the issue.

The BLM gets to act as judge, jury, and executioner. Completely outside the normal rule of law.

I agree with you and was going to say something along those lines. Mainly this - people are now frightened. Those in power and those who leach onto the power are very, very scared. They want to say things that it is all about cattle, this guy is loony tunes, the emails are from nut cases and racists.

I think they saw a lot of ordinary citizens come out, not only take up arms against the Feds, but willing to die for their belief. This scares the pundits. They know we - this nation - are very close to the spark that ignites the fire.

When it happens - and I think it will - they know what the upheavel will be and if history shows us, when society upheavel occurs, people use it as an excuse to get even, to account for past wrongs - real or imagined. Those who live in the cities are also concerned because deep down they know that if the flyover parts of this country shut down, they will not survive long.

Some things are indeed worthy of life and limb. We need to band together in the cause of Liberty not nitpick whether this person or that person is justified. Especially after the fight has begun is not the time to decide the cause of Liberty's is not worthy of ones standards.

This is the take-away for many of us who are not in a position to sort out the disinformation and evaluate the merits of opposing arguments. It seems entirely possible with the amount of national politics and money involved, and the track record of some of the local politicians, that we will witness another Waco or Ruby Ridge.

The sad underlying truth here is that Clive Bundy is a member of a dying breed - the independent rancher (or, in a greener part of the nation, a farmer) who want little more from the government than to be left alone to live his life as his ancestors have done, on the land. The sadness comes from the fact that other than conservatives, traditionalists, and libertarians - no one cares about people like him or their choices. As witnessed by the fact that over 50 ranchers just like Bundy have been wiped out - and when have any of us heard a word about it? They can’t move the stock price, they amount to only a small handful of votes, they don’t have a powerful lobby or special interest group on K street pulling for them. To put it bluntly, they’re on life support, and regardless of whether the BLM pulls the plug or not, a way of life and tradition will be gone all too soon. And the nation will be the lesser for it.

I think you have hit the nail on the head there. It is also worth pointing out that the way of life we are losing the is the very one many of the founding fathers, particularly Thomas Jefferson envisioned for this country. To lose it we lose our heritage as Americans. And I thank God for anyone with the courage to stand against the federal leviathan now, instead of waiting for Jesus his saints to return and do the job some are too good to do.

Yeh the deadbeat grazing fee dodger who has been out working his butt off raising beef for all of America to eat. His family having the water and grazing rights on this property for 140 years.

Its all a smokescreen. Don’t get cought up in the BS like poor Ann Barnhardt.

Why the big push to get Mr. Bundy off his land?

Why? Because the tortoise is endangered? NO
Why? Becuase Bundy didn’t pay grazing fees? No

Why? Because a corrupt politician and his criminal cronies in league with the President of the US want to use the land for their own purposes? Bingo

There is a reason Ann you moron why the FBI and the US Marshals are nowhere to be found in this nakedly evil overeach by an out of control Agenda 21 driven govt.

The Obama regime and its fellow democrat travellers are a rogue government that has to be stopped and soon. This is all a prelim to martial law and naked power whenever and wherever the govt wants.

I can see where the Bundy family may have helped to create the legal situation they’re in, but it just really makes me sad to think that a way of life is slipping away in the process. I’ll probably shed a tear when the last landline phone is unplugged and the last AM radio station is turned into a digital noisemaker too...

I guess even sadder is the fact that in a couple of generations the traditions that built the nation will no longer be evident, outside of museums and movies. Which is to say they will only be remembered in ways that can be dismissed as easily our forefathers dismissed the Indians (or should I say “Native Americans”). The ultimate irony may be that the Bundy clan is now in about the same position the Indians were in during the latter part of the 19th century, fighting the same enemy.
