Hoarders – Some people are piling it away in their basements, garages, bunkers, and under their beds due to fear of not being able to find it again. This is not a huge factor in it, but it is still a factor to some degree. When these hoarders can’t find it on shelves, it only panics them more and causes them to buy even more when they do find it.

I have a friend who is almost just like that. He has well over 30,000 rounds of the stuff. Every time we talk on the phone he asks me if seen any 22ammo on any shelves I tell him no and he tells me he hasn't either. I tell him why are you looking you don't need any. There is one thing he will not buy $50-$70 bricks. He isn't that bad.

I think it is a huge factor, in fact the factor.

I know for myself I've gone from keeping a number of months supply to the same number in years. I've been thinking of buying similar amounts to keep for my kids.
