I am so sick of this hyphenated “African-American” crap!!!
They left out the hyphen!
Particularly since Obama isn’t one, in the true meaning of the phrase. He’s a mixed race child of a white American teenager and a foreign African graduate student.
The term actually refers to people of all or part African descent born in this country to persons of African descent, most of whom are descended from Africans brought here a long time ago as slaves.
Obama’s just riding in on their coat-tails. In fact, foreigh born Africans are even excluded from the definition.
