Very small numbers of children die in fatal gun accidents. Most of those result from irresponisble adults actions or a lack of training received by the children. We have far fewer swimming pools than we have guns in this country, but six times as many children die in fatal swimming pool accidents as die in fatal firearms accidents.

Or drive by shootings. I remember reading somewhere that the statistic included gang related shootings and other gun violence.
