One huge indicator of this is that Staples, a leading supplier of office supplies nationwide, is shutting the doors on 225 stores. And, they arent the only ones getting hammered by a pullback in consumer spending. The worlds largest retailer, Walmart, saw sales drop over 20% year-over-year in the fourth quarter of 2013.
And as trend forecaster Gerald Celente once noted, as goes Walmart, so goes America.

To start things CVS has canned DAk hams for $3.00 which is good, but a sure sign of inflation as they have always been $2.50 on sale before. I brought a can of 5.45X39 for my AK74 as its possible that Russian made ammo may become hard to find. I notice everyone stocks up on ammo, but do you stock up on cleann suppies?

Walmart, saw sales drop over 20% year-over-year in the fourth quarter of 2013. Our little payback for corrupt fat corps, fat gov and punitive taxes?
We went very galt some years ago....
If we don't absolutely need it, we don't buy it. If it breaks and we can't fix it ourselves, we don't buy a replacement. We'll fabricate it before we ever buy it.
It's one way we can punish the ever controlling, ever taxing government.
It's now turned into a fun hobby, almost an obsession to see how little these controlling insiders can steal from us.

One huge indicator of this is that Staples, a leading supplier of office supplies nationwide, is shutting the doors on 225 stores. That is a major indicator, but only if it means that folks are buying less. It's possible that most Staples customers didn't quit buying things, but just switched to on-line discounters.
