Putin Schools Obama Who Rages at Israel

It is a sad thing to see an American president so pitiful in foreign policy and lacking in backbone that America is no longer respected or feared. If a foreign power hated us, they at least worried about crossing us lest they find themselves on the wrong end of our military might. That has changed with the election of Barack Obama, who is the epitome of weakness on the world stage. The latest example is the naked aggression of Russia into Ukraine as Putin seeks to rebuild the old Soviet Union. Obama has made his "line" in Ukraine just as he did in Syria, which Putin knows means nothing. You would think that Obama would be raging at Putin over what Russia has done in recent years, but the chief focus of Obama's ire is at Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel.

I wish I was making this up, but it's true. An interview was released Sunday where Obama blasted Netanyahu, saying that "time was running out" and that Israel had to make deep concessions for peace. This is utterly pathetic on many levels. Israel is the shining beacon of democracy in the Middle East where any ethnicity can become a citizen. In Israel, everyone is protected under the law and has rights. You cannot say the same for the Palestinians or the Arab states that surround Israel.

To be fair, this interview was conducted on Thursday before Russian forces moved into Ukraine, but the sentiment is true. Obama and John Kerry will huff and puff but do absolutely nothing. Vladimir Putin has had Russia lie openly to American officials and flout international law, and Obama remains impotent. Obama has expressed "grave concern" over the Russian occupation of Crimea as they moved over 6,000 troops into the region. This "grave concern" will be as effective as the concern he showed for those killed in Benghazi.

Putin has schooled Obama for years. From the Edward Snowden debacle to Syria to the present situation in Ukraine. Putin has schemed a long time to keep Ukraine from joining the EU and entering into NATO. To that point, Putin has succeeded and is now poised to grab part of the country and put it under Russian control. Ukraine does not have the military to fend off Russian aggression as their forces are outnumbered and their equipment is archaic. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is attending a month-long UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, and he states that the use of Russian troops is necessary "until the normalization of the political situation. We are talking here about protection of our citizens and compatriots, about protection of the most fundamental of the human rights -- the right to live, and nothing more." Lavrov goes on to dismiss any criticism of Russia's actions, stating, " information is coming in about preparations for new provocations that are being committed, including against the Russian Black Sea fleet." Yep, those outnumbered and outgunned Ukrainians are threatening Russia. That's some good old-fashioned Soviet speak that I haven't heard since the mid 1980s.

In the end, Russia will likely absorb the Crimea into their dominion and Obama will do nothing. Obama will save his anger for Netanyahu, who will be addressing the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) on Tuesday. John Kerry is supposed to speak today, but that remains unclear due to the current crisis in Ukraine. Still, it's telling that Obama will snub and attempt to intimidate an ally of the United States, one who is an actual democracy in a region full of barbarism, and yet roll over like a dog against a Cold War enemy who is seeking to rebuild their empire.

Can we end High School Government day yet?

The PResidency is no place for on-the-job training (or affirmative action)

Poor Netanyahu. Israel is dependent on US aid therefore he is just about the only world leader that has to listen and sit through Obama’s pouts and rants.

Netanyahu is a Jew, while Putin is a communist. If anyone doesn’t know which of the two groups Obama hates, and which he admires, they just aren’t paying attention.

Millions of words, thousands of threats, and for what. King Obama is a fool and has destroyed much of America's might with his child like crap to transform America. And he has done a real good job. America will never be the force it once was and King Obama has destroyed our economy and prestige in the world. America is finished.

I don’t think it counts as “schooling” if the student is immune to learning.

>while Putin is a communist

Not anymore. He’s more like a Mafia-esque authoritarian statist strongman out to make Russia into a empire once again.

Isn't that what all national socialists, soviet socialists, Maoist socialists, Obama voters, fascists, and other communists/socialists support? My impression is that communist ideology is a facade for justifying Mafia-esque authoritarian statist dictatorships, which is why Obama likes communism so much.

One thing for certain is that Putin always acts in what he feels is his country’s best interest while Obama is the polar opposite, always acting in what he feels is his country’s worst interest.

King Obama has destroyed our economy and prestige in the world

***********
He’s not done yet; still has three more years to wreck havoc here and around the world. America hasn’t yet realized the price it will pay for electing this clown but its starting to get a sense of how big the bill is going to be. People and countries ultimately pay for their mistakes.

I might get flamed for this, but I kind of side with Putin on this.

The situation in Ukraine was such that he had to do something to protect Russia’s interest.

Bammy would have just sat by and let our naval bases and other interests be taken over.

Russia tried to assist earlier with loans and other assistance but Yanukovich was so corrupt it didn’t help. He was trying to play both sides and the whole time skimming as much as possible.

For the time being, at least, Crimea wil be much better off under Russian control.

If people have not started considering the probability of us going to war yet, they’d better start. EVERY time we’ve downsized our military, we’ve gone to war immediately. In the past, we still considered most countries our friends. Under this administration, none of them would feel safe, nor would any of them do anything to help us, should we come under attack. They understand that this president seeks to take us down and would get out of the way.
