Mostly all not relevant to self defense. Most statues of self defense read “the person feared for their life” You do not have to be “physically” within seconds of dying to claim self defense

however, i am still wondering... how bad did this fight get? i am curious...

Yes civility is gone, which is why we need to keep our ego’s in check. Perhaps the aggressor is dead in this story and perhaps not. We don’t really know nor will we ever.

Who said anything about egos? You even said yourself, you don't know what happened...Maybe the shooter did nothing and was attacked anyway. No?

And that wasn't my point anyway. My point once again is that is why so many nowadays are at least trying to protect themselves and their families by any means necessary.

Civility is all but gone.... Multiple times every single day innocent people are being murdered, stabbed, shot, beaten, assaulted, ran over and attacked for all kinds of things, including really stupid, ludicrous reasons.

The above means people will kill, rob and beat you for little or no reason nowadays, regards of what kind of ego you may or may not have...

Obviously, if one takes the responsibility of having a cw, only a lunatic would use it to shoot someone to death over a cutting in line/argument or popcorn throwing type incident.
