The other night I attended a Republican meeting in Alexandria, Virginia, a suburb of Washington D.C.

A candidate for Senator was speaking and I wanted to hear what he had to say. His name is Ed Gillespie and he has been a volunteer and elected leader in the Republican party for 30 years.

I won't bore you with his party platform policies or a description of his well polished demeanor and dress. Let me just assure you he looked and sounded the part.

But he said something that made me question him and the Republican party. He alluded to Obama spending a trillion dollars and having "nothing to show for it". Really? I've heard this from many Republicans trying to refute the usefulness of the "Stimulus". I have to restrain myself whenever an intelligent, involved, and current politician or media personality puts forth the idea that "Stimulus" failed. It did not!

The Obama administration used the "crisis" to spend an extra trillion + dollars and subsequently locked in this spending increase by including it in the "baseline" for every budget since. He also moved much of the spending from discretionary into mandatory thereby ensuring the new levels of spending would be unassailable. This money was to be used for "shovel-ready" construction and infrastructure jobs and the money was spent but somehow the infrastructure wasn't really improved and the jobs never materialized.

So where did the money go and what was it used for? In short it was "invested" in pushing progressive socialism throughout America. Yes, we financed our own destruction. The state government unions were saved from required downsizing. Huge sums of money has been funneled into "community" groups to ensure their rabid allegiance and to ensure they had the free time and money to get out the vote and register agreeable voters-- legal or not. Each piece of the progressive quilt has been bought using tax payer funds.

The new United States Senator from Montana, John Walsh, was in charge of a department in the state government that, according to our local newspaper, “lost” $23,000,000 of federal stimulus money. He was also found guilty by The Inspector Generals Office of The United States Army of financial misconduct. The United States Army refused to allow Walsh to be promoted to General because of his misdeeds. The Governor of Montana, Democrat Steve Bullock, ignored his fellow Democrat’s misdeeds and appointed him as a United States Senator. The purpose of the Democrat party is to elect thieves to office so that they have access to public treasuries in order to loot them. Walsh is too crooked to be a general, but crooked enough to be a Democrat US Senator.

Guess where terrorists get lots of their money? Small Business Administration Loans. How? They send over clean shaven men from Middle Eastern countries over here to set up shell companies that sound like land or real estate development companes. They know our greedy banking system money will lend them the money because the commissions for the brokers are huge. They “businessmen” are usually from places like Syria, Iraq and Iran though they sometimes use false IDs with Indian names. Why Indian names? Because we don’t percieve India as a threat and they resemble them enough that most Americans can’t tell them apart. They get multimillion dollars then transfer the funds overseas to temporary accounts setup by crooked bankers that make a commission for allowing such large transfers. Or they send it in small enough amounts that it lies under the radar.. The temp acounts are then closed down along with the buinesses. The “buinessman” then disappear.

Very simply put: the “teach a man to fish” parable applies here.

Unfortunately, the Democrats don’t understand this basic fact.

I fear the damage done by Obama to both our economy and to our Constitution is not reversible. The GOP leadership has all too often been a willing player cutting backroom deals to save their pet projects and have become little different than the Democrats when it comes to spending. Even if the GOP wins the Senate and takes back the White House in 2016, I have little hope that what Obama has done can be undone. I see our country in an economic death spiral and our Constitution in tatters. What is needed is bold new leadership that will seriously reduce the spending and reestablish the Constitution. I have to agree with Mark Levin's idea that the states need to take the initiative to call a new Constitutional convention and adopt amendments that will stop the excesses of government we have seen eating at our Republic and our liberties.

My greatest fear is that Obama will be emboldened that his unconstitutional power grabs have gone unchallenged and may not relinquish the Presidency at the end of his term, but will just declare himself president for life.

Porkulus worked exactly as intended. THAT’S why Rush Limbaugh made the comment that he hoped Obama would fail in his efforts. Rush KNEW what Obama wanted to do.

You know what will happen if he does that. Ironic that the end of the union should come at the hands of black man after being saved by the man that freed the slaves.
