Writer John Naisbitt once said Leadership involves finding a parade and getting in front of it. Im not sure thats quite the right definition of leadership, but it certainly applies to Barack Obama. Just before his election in 2008 he said We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America. What he might have more accurately said was America is fundamentally changing and Im here to speed up the process
America is indeed changing, and not in a good way. How far has it changed? One need only look to the Presidents response to last weeks CBO report about ObamaCare eliminating 2.5 million jobs, most of them being those of low skilled and low wage workers. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said: Individuals will be empowered to make choices about their own lives and livelihoods, and that they would have the opportunity to pursue their dreams.
Fantastic! So now, according to the President, because of Obamacare Americans are now free to follow their dreams without having to worry about the minor issue of financial consequences. Get ready for lots more rock bands and philosophers and actors and artists. Of course this is not exactly new. American college students have been moving away from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) courses and into soft categories such as humanities, liberal arts and education for years. In those core areas, where American companies have tens of thousands of high paying jobs they cannot fill because American are simply not qualified, half the students receiving graduate degrees are international students. Add to that the 1/4 of the American students in STEM classes who are foreign born and you can see that Americans have been pursuing their dreams for decades. While following your dreams has its benefits such as more time for partying and fewer late nights of studying it has downsides too such as higher unemployment and or lower salaries that often come with humanities and social science degrees.
There is of course much more below the surface of the Presidents new appreciation for pursuing dreams. Destroying another 2.5 million jobs (or full time equivalents) is exactly what the country needs with a Workforce Participation Rate that is at its lowest point since 1976, and which has been in a precipitous decline since he took office. Then there is the number of people who are claiming disability. It has skyrocketed in recent years including under Obama.

To top it off, our Tea Party opposition that we sent to counter this communist have mostly joined ranks to drive a steak through the heart of our republic.

We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.///
Was the “We” he referred to the democrats or republicans or both? Rhetorical question.
I hope it’s at least REAL home made sloppy joe and not that Man-Witch crap.
I’m watching the Tudors again on Netflix. That is one of the greatest inventions known to man..
That's a pretty serious charge. Care to name some names?
Where is the opposition?
What has the imposter not been able to accomplish?
I strongly suspect that he will get his amnesty through by the end of his term and that will not happen without “Republican” support.
Maybe and hopefully I’m wrong.
OBAMA’S TOTALITARIAN COMPULSION
NYTimes: Obama’s Economic Ideas Great... Just Like Hitler’s Were?
By Warner Todd Huston
April 3, 2009
For The New York Times economic scene section for March 31, David Leonhardt came across with one of the most amazing admissions about Obama that I’ve ever seen in the Times. Namely that Barack Obama is just like Hitler.
Now, many of you may be solemnly shaking your head in agreement, but in so doing you would be missing why the Times was comparing Obama to Hitler. You see, Leonhardt didn’t mean it as an insult. He was saying that it was a good thing that Barack was being like Hitler at least in an economic sense.
Here Leonhardt is taking the trains-on-time track with his Hitler angle by saying that, despite that whole Holocaust and World War II business, Hitler’s policies were good for Germany. So good, in fact, that he celebrates the ways he sees that Obama is emulating the mustachioed mad-man’s economic prescriptions with the massive takeover of the economy and bloated government spending on “stimulus.”
You know the left has lost it when they are invoking the “success” of Hitler to prop up The One!
Compliance with Tyranny is Treason...
Personally, I’m thinking that Obama may go along the same route as Benito Mussolini. But, who am I to quibble?
The opposition is in my heart, your heart, and in the beating hearts of over half the people in this country. If you've been watching, you may have noticed that Obama's lost support all across the political spectrum - including amongst his most ardent supporters.
In a recent national survey, fully 30% of black men between the ages of 18 and 36 said they'd vote for the Republican if Obama were on the ballot again. That's explosive, and gives you some insight to how much opposition there is to this President and his agenda.
Now, that citizen opposition also needs to be channeled into electing the types of people who will go to Washington and crush Obama's destructive agenda into the dust. I think we're going to see that exact result in the November elections this year.
WADR to Naisbitt, he is wrong. Leadership is organizing the parade, delegating the most qualified to get in front of it and monitoring the results, then tweaking it to perfection.
