The emergence of Twitter as a social media goliath has unleashed gossip and speculation as a media force. The long term consequences are unknowable, but in the meantime, with a far left president with a dicey past, it is producing some highly amusing results.
Last night, President Obama explained to Bob Costas of NBC Sports why he wasn’t attending the Sochi Olympics, but the substance of what he had to say was lost in the controversy that erupted on Twitter over whether or not he was stoned.
Yahoo writer Mike Oz took the high road, as would nearly any journalist, and described the president as looking “sleepy.” But in the Twitterverse, many popeple outright speculated that he was stoned on marijuana, a drug that he is well known to have indulged in to excess in his younger years (at least so far as we know). …

My wife and I saw the interview today because we dvr’ed some of the opening ceremonies and we both immediately said holy crap he’s high!

In practical terms ... how would a President get away with this with constant Secret Service guys around?
He can’t smoke it in the White House cuz it stinks ... so did he hop into Reggie’s car and crack the windows? Wouldn’t SS follow? Are they bound to say anything if the President is using illegal drugs?
Or maybe he just ate some baked pot brownies, that way there’s no smoke ...

Same way Clinton got BJs in the Oval Office. They are not always present and SS would not rat him out even if they knew.
I quit watching him and Katie Couric when they felt it necessary at the games in Greece to explain why the crowd was not booing the American team in the opening ceremonies.
The Secret Service are not law enforcement.
Actually I hate watching Costas because he has to find something to politicize and then when they brought in Obama I turned the station to something else for 15 minutes. I don't really think Costas has pink eye, I think he is suffering from either too much injected into his face or cheek implants that are causing an allergic reaction. If you look at a side view of his face, its pretty scary.
