Nearly Half of America Lives Paycheck-to-Paycheck

The economic picture is looking brighter these days. The federal government announced Thursday that economic growth had picked up to its fastest pace in two years, while employment growth over the past five months has averaged a healthy 185,000 new jobs. But as evidenced by a report out Thursday from the Corporation for Enterprise Development, nearly half of Americans are living in a state of “persistent economic security,” that makes it “difficult to look beyond immediate needs and plan for a more secure future.”

In other words, too many of us are living paycheck to paycheck. The CFED calls these folks “liquid asset poor,” and its report finds that 44% of Americans are living with less than $5,887 in savings for a family of four. The plight of these folks is compounded by the fact that the recession ravaged many Americans’ credit scores to the point that now 56% percent of us have subprime credit. That means that if emergencies arise, many Americans are forced to resort to high-interest debt from credit cards or payday loans.

Government Retirement Plan (ObamaRA) or to give out "a certain annuity (TBD)" was two of the plans by Dems.

Getting ALL of America to the ‘hand-to-mouth’ stage is their ultimate goal.

Under Obama, Poor, Middle Class Incomes Fall Sharply

http://news.investors.com/100212-627662-under-obama-poor-middle-class-incomes-fall-sharply.aspx

From 1948-2008 our country had 39 TOTAL months of unemployment national average above 8%.

Under Obama, we’ve had 43 CONSECUTIVE months over 8%.

Every article that states the truth about the reality of Obamanomics, also has to have an intro that says something like “despite the robust economy....”. The media is a joke.

The automobile has a lot to do with this. Most people take any increase in monthly income as a trigger to make an identical increase in the monthly payments for a higher status car.

And the other half is split: 75% live on the government dole, and the remainder live no-paycheck to no-paycheck.

Well past time to walk back the progressive, socialist pogroms that started with the New Deal and got us to today’s “New Steal”. Unleash the economic might of this grand experiment. Get fedgov back within its Constitutional authority. Move all social assistance back to local entities.

It’s still not too late (I pray).

Of course ObamaRA won’t be expecting those ‘enrolled’ to pay into the system.

The “website” is just another way to collect information that people haven’t signed up on Obamacare.

Nothing, as long as the paychecks come around.

If not...

It’s a state of uncertainty that keeps people dependent on gov’t and the collective.

Yes, indeed, they want everyone in that state.

>> ObamaRA

Sounds like an Egyptian Pharaoh. I think Obama the Great will be proud of that.

Needs a hyphen: “Obama-Ra”

And the more worrisome signs of militarization of domestic government and law enforcement agencies.

Someone(s) know and have plans when the spigot stops.

and its report finds that 44% of Americans are living with less than $5,887

and this is a problem? If you lose your job, you have unemployment benefits extended indefinitely, ObamaCare and expanded Medicaid for healthcare, food stamps for sustenance, and Social Security for retirement.
